Purchasing the software

Post by Fazzazerin »

I had a few questions about to tour reservations.

Buying one copy of the software can we use this on more than
one workstation.

And can we use this on a internet network to compile into 1 tour list?

Pricing is per concurrent user. So you can install it on as many PCs as you like, but if it's being used by more than one person at any single time then you'd need the appropriate licence:

Yes you can share the database over the internet between PCs. To do this you'd need to create a Virtual Private Network between the PCs and share the database file.

thanks for your reply!
One last question, our tour departs from las vegas so in our reservations we need to type in the customers hotel for pick up, once we type in their hotel can we have it automatically fill in their pickup time and location for that hotel?

Im sorry to keep bugging with questions but cant hep it when more stuff arrises while im playing with the trial. Are we able to change the manifest to say not show the address work and home phone, to say their payment information credit card numbers what not. I see we can enter their payment information for a credit card but there is no where we can retrieve it after making the reservation to charge their card. thank you for your time

I guess you could add in a Chargeable Item for each hotel and note the pickup time on that. It's not ideal, but there isn't any way to automatically link the hotel and pick up time.

If you edit the booking details you should be able to view the credit card details. Is this what you are looking for?

That works for the hotels. But with the credit card details we process each card by hand for printed reciepts for the customers. therefor we would like to beable to see them all on the manifest so we can attach them to it for the guests to sign and recieve a customer copy when picked up.

Thanks for all your help!

Yes the update is available. After installing the trial from our website you'd need to install the latest update from:
http://imagic.fileburst.com/users/iMTR-v118-update.exe

Note that this is an update file so please don't uninstall the previous version.

You can then edit the tour manifest template file to include any additional information you'd like. The file is called TourManifest.rtf

The new tags with the credit card details can be found on our update webpage:
http://www.imagictourreservation.com/Li ... omMinVer=1

If you have any problems let me know.

Thanks a ton jon,

I know you said you can share the manifest over a network. Is it possible to
share between two different networks considering we have 2 office locations.

Cheers!

Yes you can use the system on multiple PCs on different networks. You would need to share a drive between those networks so you can share the database. Often the easiest way to do this is to create a VPN (Virtual Private Network) between the two locations. You can then share the database as normal.
