Hi John,
There are different templates (invoice, quote, packing slip ..........) in the program. Please advise where these files are located.
Thanks/Steve |

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the question on using the various templates for generating documents in iMagic Inventory.
Various example templates are included in the default install. You can find them in the folder:
Documents\iMagic Inventory\Templates

Hi John,
I did try the custom Template. There are 2 concerns :-
• There is no preview. In custom Template mode, every time I select ‘print’ and it will print a copy in ‘word’.
• It takes quite a while to generate the invoice. It takes a lot longer than the one ‘in-built’ coded.
Is there a way we can change the ‘in-built’ one ? like we set up our own template in ‘custom template’.
Thanks/Steve |

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply.
We can create a new inbuilt template for you. If that is something you want to do, maybe start with an existing inbuilt template. Draw over the changes you want and send it over. There would be an additional charge for that service.
The speed of Word is a trade-off. You have the option to fully customise, but at the expense of speed (it's doing more things so it takes longer). You can turn on the 'Automatically Print from Word' option, which would slightly speed up the process. That option is under the Document Styles - Invoice tab. Maybe try that first? Your printer driver might have a setting to show a print preview from there. Generally, colour printers have that option (to save on ink).
