Which bar code scanner works the best with I magic and how do I go about creating bar codes.

Thanks for the question.

Most non-proprietary barcode scanners will work with iMagic Inventory, to be sure just check it indicates that it can "scan the barcode into the keyboard buffer", most likely they can. I put together a list of example barcode scanners here:

Creating barcodes is easy, just edit an item in iMagic Inventory. Enter the barcode value (if the item has an existing barcode scan that, or enter in a number if not). Then you can print them under the Reports > Create Barcodes.

There are more advanced options, but that should get you started.
