Hi can you help me, I have struggled with this? On launch, it displays the message that the database cannot be found in the programdata folder.

Hi Krystel,

Thanks for the question on the hotel database.

It looks like the default database folder has been changed. I'd suggest setting it back to the default, so do this:
1) Launch iMagic Hotel Reservation > Network Administration. The Database Configuration Wizard should open.
2) Click 'Next' to start.
3) Under the 'Path' click 'Browse' and select the default database folder:
Documents\iMagic Hotel Reservation\Database
4) Click 'Next'.
5) Click 'Finish'.

You should then relaunch iMagic Hotel and it should search for the database in the default folder. You can also check that your 'database file' (it's called db) is in the default folder:
Documents\iMagic Hotel Reservation\Database

That should resolve it, but if you get stuck please send a screenshot and I can advise.

Regards, John

Hi John,

I already figure it! Thank you for the reply. Last question how can I put the logo on the receipt it says cannot edit. When I save another file it's still different.

Hi Krystel,

Good to hear the setup is moving forward. Thanks for the question on guest confirmations and receipts using the template files.

I suspect this is the similar to the same issue as before. The default folder for templates is:
Documents\iMagic Hotel Reservation\Templates

I suspect you have this set to the programdata folder as well, which would be 'read only'. I would suggest setting it to the default, so:
1) Launch iMagic Hotel.
2) Select Configure > Advanced > Template Folders (near the bottom of the menu).
3) Change the 'Template File Folder' by clicking 'Browse', and then selecting the default folder:
Documents\iMagic Hotel Reservation\Templates
4) Click OK to save.

You should then be able to edit the template files in the default folder through Windows.

Regards, John
