Is there a way to change pricing on items based on the category & sub-category? The companies I distribute for raised there prices and I want to know if there is a shortcut or do I have to go to each item to change the price of each? |

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the post (I've replied to your email already).
At present we don't have a feature that says 'if item is in category x, update pricing to y based on formula'.
Do you have Excel? One option would be to update through that. I'm not sure on how you're wanting the prices updated though. If they are all the same or based on something else?
If the supplier has a price list, then another option would be to import the price list. But again you'd want something like Excel to arrange the 'columns'. Then you can import via a CSV file and mark it is 'overwrite'. iMagic Inventory will then find the existing item and overwrite any columns with the new information, in this case, the price list. Just make sure you backup your database before importing, then if you make a mistake you can always revert back.
