How can I insert a serialised number against each item in the invoice?
When you have an invoice with quite a number of items, it would make things easier if each row had a number.

Hi Kenlin,

Do you mean a serial number or line number? As they are two different things. A serial number would be unique to the individual item sold and you can do this with Item Tracking and using the <uniquecode_list> tag in the invoice.

A line number would be unique to the invoice, so each "line" on the invoice would be numbered in order 1..2..3..etc. At present we don't have a "line" tag, but if that is what you are wanting I'm sure we could add one in?

Hello Jon,
Yes, that is exactly what I require; a line number.
It is easier for my customers to refer to a particular line number if I have over 50 items in my invoice.

The Sales Person (or logged in user) is not currently exported to the Custom Invoice. But I will add that in for you, we're about to release an update so it should be ready shortly.

I need the company number tag for our invoice. The reason is that we are an educational institute and we use the company number for the term (e.g. Spring 2013, Summer 2013) to show on the invoice.

Hi Ron,

Do you mean your company number, as in the one entered in the Configuration Wizard?

Note that you can always set those details as fixed within the invoice template itself, such as company name, address etc.

Yes, the company number in the configuration. Unlike the name, address, etc. This value must change every quarter when accounting is ready to start a new quarter. Invoices must reflect the proper college term on the invoice. We also must have this value as these invoices must have the correct term when we migrate them into our accounting system (using a SQL Server stored procedure run on a daily basis).

Dear Engr,

I have replied to your email, if you haven't received maybe check your spam filter.

But to answer you can use any sized paper on for the invoice, this is controlled by Windows itself. So if you want to use A5 set the default paper size to A5 in Windows then it will work itself out.
